Club Dress Code & Etiquette
Rules

Club Members MUST wear INDOOR ONLY court shoes on the Badminton Courts. Tennis courts require clean shoes as well. ALL Players should consider SAFETY EYEWEAR, read here for more information.

All members and non-members must adhere to the following points of ettiquette, in no particular order:
  • Please be respectful towards others playing around you - foul language and disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated
  • Sport appropriate attire is highly recommended and shirts MUST be worn at all times
  • Outdoor shoes must be taken off before entering the general clubhouse area to avoid tracking dirt and salt through the clubhouse and eventually onto the courts; they have the potential to cause damage
  • Do not enter courts until play on court #1 or Court #6 has ceased
  • For your safety and common courtesy, do not walk behind a court while in play; wait for the rally to finish before crossing BEHIND the court in a timely fashion
  • ONLY water bottles permitted on the court (i.e. no sugar or dye-based drinks allowed on court)
  • Bags and clothing should not be brought on to the courts: day-lockers are provided for your convenience, B.Y.O. Lock.
  • During peak times, doubles play is encouraged to reduce wait times for others. Riverside members DO have priority when courts are full. During these periods, a scheduling board may be brought out and matches may be limited to 30 minutes. Courts will then rotate in and out until the issues ceases.
  • While there are shuttles for public use on the premises, players are encouraged to bring their own
  • Players are to leave/enter the door closest to the court they are playing on
