Indoor Shoe Policy

Riverside is aware the policy may have put off players who have been denied access to Riverside’s courts.  We have received some negative feedback, and also have received much positive feedback from Riverside’s members to enforce the Indoor Shoe Policy in order to maintain the quality of the courts and for player safety.

Enforcement of the Indoor Shoe Policy has meant some drop in players/non members have not been able to play or denied access to the badminton courts until they secure the proper footwear. This may have been interpreted as rude staff or poor management at the club. We strongly believe it’s the best approach for all players and the club. We kindly ask all players to understand and refrain from verbal abuse of the Riverside staff.

To protect the quality and integrity of our indoor badminton courts, all players are required to wear clean, non-marking, indoor shoes. Shoes that have been worn outside will not be allowed on court.
